Israelis for Blue and White Agriculture, Eretz and The Natural Step Israel

For nearly a year, the once rich and vibrant agricultural lands of Israel have suffered under the devastating impact of war, bombings, fires, and economic collapse. The ongoing conflict and the decline in tourism along the northern border have pushed our farmers and small local producers to the brink, witnessing decades of hard labor turned to ashes.

In response to this crisis, the social enterprise Eretz, in partnership with the non-profit organization The Natural Step and 'Israelis for Blue and White Agriculture,' has come together with a mission to support small Israeli producers in their darkest hour. We have meticulously curated a collection of the finest yields and products from across Israel's northern border, offering you a taste of the nation's best delicacies while providing much-needed income to those who cultivate them.

“We are an agricultural farm in Moshav Sde Eliezer in the Upper Galilee. We have 100 dunams of Syrian olive trees, and we produce olives, olive oil, tahini, and halva. We also operate a visitor center that used to host tourist groups from Israel and abroad. Due to the war, tourism in the north has stopped, leaving us without an income. We started looking for alternative ways to make a living, and today we work with purchasing groups and fairs in the center to support ourselves. We so welcome the willingness to help our business and provide us with livelihood, more power to you!” Akhla Zait, Moshav Sde Eliezer.

Our limited edition gift baskets are filled with seasonal, sustainable, and locally sourced products, with all proceeds dedicated to the farmers and producers who need your support.

Order a limited edition gift basket for your loved ones these holidays and give them a unique taste of Israel, while standing with our agricultural heroes.

Together, we can help restore and sustain the heart of Israeli agriculture.

“Since the outbreak of the war, half of the beekeeping team has been drafted under emergency orders (Tzav 8). Fieldwork on the hives, as well as bottling and packaging, is dependent on the approval of the military and Home Front Command, according to the situation in the north.

About a quarter of our hives are located near Israel's northern borders, from Mount Dov in the north, through Rajar, Ma'ayan Baruch, and Metula, continuing to Misgav Am, Margaliot, and Manara, as well as the areas of Yiftah, Malkiya, Avivim, Yir'on, and Bar'am.

We are currently visiting these areas very infrequently due to the tension and dangers at the borders.” Galil Honey, Kibbutz Dan.

Israelis for Blue and White Agriculture is a volunteer-based, country-wide initiative established two weeks after the outbreak of the 'Swords of Iron' war in Israel in October 2023. It provides an operative platform connecting Israeli farmers affected by the war with private, institution-based and community-based consumers that wish to support Israeli agriculture and ensure it’s future.

While many of the farmers we work with are from Israel’s southern and northern borders near Gaza and Lebanon, we also assist farmers throughout the country, many of whom have been severely affected due to a loss of manpower and business.

Our goal is to preserve these farmers' livelihoods and save their produce from going to waste, by bringing “blue and white” fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices to all residents of the country who struggle with the high cost of living.

This initiative promotes solidarity, citizen activism, a new vision for “Zionism 2024” – and even sustainability
